Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, 14 June 2024 -- The Lourdes Enrichment and Activities Program (LEAP) completed its first recital for the flute/recorder for all of its students. Parents and teachers proudly enjoyed the music played by learners from different tracks. LEAP is an after-school program that trains young people in music, sports, arts, dance, and academics. It is run by youth and for youth.

As part of the program, the first two weeks of the 6-week program focused on values formation, which is then applied as learners learn the recorder. In the upcoming weeks, we will see the different tracks now focused on their area of study. The learners will still have to hurdle their final recital, which will showcase the skills they are training in. LEAP follows the tradition of the Summer Saya sa Lourdes (SSL) and the music programs first organized by Lourdes Parish pioneer, Fr. Jose Bosch, SDB.
