Cebu City, 4 June 2024 -- The Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in this city launched its after-school training in music, arts, dance, and sports for youth on 3 June. More than a hundred students and their parents came for the orientation day where they were welcomed by Fr. Jhun Paradiang, SDB, parish priest and rector. The program called LEAP, for Lourdes Enrichment Activities Program, is a continuation of the music education program started by the parish pioneer Fr. Jose Bosch, SDB.
LEAP includes formation in the Salesian Spirituality and human values and aims to not only educate youth in complementary skills but also evangelize them into being Church. The program runs for six weeks while students are on scholastic break.
