Hanoi- Vietnam, 1 February 2024 -- On 31 January, the Salesian Family of the North met at Don Bosco Van Phuc community to share Strenna 2024, celebrating the Feast of Don Bosco. The Regional Superior, Father Joseph Nguyen Thinh Phuoc, was also present. Father John B. Tran Van Hao shared thoughts on the 2024 Strenna. Then, everyone was divided into four groups to share their own experiences as well as their dreams. The Mass began at 11:00 a.m. and was presided over by the Regional Superior. In his homily, he conveyed greetings and encouragement from the Rector Major and the General Councillors. He also mentioned the missionary journey of the first Salesians when they came to Vietnam in 1952, which was full of difficulties. And now Vietnamese Salesians are stepping around the world to repay the efforts of their predecessor Salesians. He encouraged everyone to commit enthusiastically to all abilities and initiatives.
The gathering ended with a fraternal lunch.
