DBTI Victorias, the Philippines, 23 October 2023 – This year's theme for the Leaders and Animators Formation (LAF) 2023 talks about being a good Christian and upright citizen, which opened a wider perspective for the youth in knowing their role as a future voter in the upcoming elections.
LAF 2023 was held in Don Bosco Technical Institute, Victorias and was actively participated by different settings on the Negros District last October 21, 2023, which includes participants coming from DBTI-Victorias, Don Bosco Dumangas, Don Bosco Mambukal, St. Joseph the Worker Parish and Laura Vicuna Women Development and Training Center.
Rev. Fr. Gino Godinez, SDB, highlighted during his talk the importance of practicing our right of suffrage and the role of the Salesian youth leader on creating an impact in choosing leaders to lead our society. On the other hand, Rev. Fr. Vince Michael Sabal, SDB discussed the SYM primer during the afternoon session and previewed its contents and showed a short presentation about St. John Bosco, who started the movement itself.
The event concluded with the holy mass and a send-off of the participants for them to be a good Christians and upright citizens of our nation.
