Bangkok, Thailand, 16 July 2023 -- On July 15, 2023, the Salesian Press Department, led by Father Ekasit Tanhakulthorn who is in charge of the Salesian Social Communications Commission along with the Board of Directors of the Media Department, organized a charity concert called "Happy Day - Happy Time Reminiscent of The Beatles" at The Better Music Academy, Bangna, Bangkok, to contribute to the Don Bosco magazine fund and to thank the patrons of the magazine.

At the beginning of the event, Mrs.Kingdao Thiwawanwong, a pianist extraordinaire, played the piano to lull the audience. Then, Bishop Joseph Prathan Sridarunsil, SDB, presided over the opening along with giving souvenirs to the benefactors of the magazine.

After that was the concert by Aisoon Thiwawanwong, an artist known as 'The Only Beatles of Thailand', with a tone and style of singing as close as possible to the original. He came to create joy for the guests together with The Betters Band. Attending the event were Salesian confreres the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, past pupils of the Salesian seminary and the general public, who attended the concert in a happy family atmosphere.

Moreover, the Don Bosco Magazine is one of the 67 editions of the Salesian magazine published in 32 languages and distributed in 134 countries. The Don Bosco Magazine was first printed in 1958, and now it is in its 65th year. Since this magazine is not a profit-seeking enterprise, expenses, therefore, are prominent and are increasing. Because of this, in May 2019, the Board of Directors of Don Bosco Magazine decided to put up a 'fund' to support the expenses borne by the Province and to manage the printing in a more systematic way. This move has gained the support of any patrons.

Today's concert is one event that helps support the printing of this magazine. Don Bosco Magazine is for all - we have you, and you have us. The survival and progress of this magazine depends on everyone's support.
