Southwest Sumba, Indonesia, 22 October 2022 -- SMK (Vocational High School) Don Bosco in Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tengggara Province, held a Workshop on the Implementation of Bullying-Free Schools. This activity took place in the school hall on Thursday (20/10/2022). The resource persons were the Police Chief of Southwest Sumba Regency, I Gede Ariada and the activist of Women and Children-Talita Kum, Imelda Sulis Setiawati.
The activity was attended by students of grade X and grade XI of the two majors, namely, Electrical Power Installation Engineering and Network Computer Engineering. Grade XII students did not attend it since they were still doing the internship. The activity was also attended by teachers and staff.
In his remarks, the Principal of SMK Don Bosco, Fr. Dominggus Telupun, M.Ed., said that the purpose of holding this workshop was to prevent bullying, especially within the school.
"We, as educators as well as parents of students in the education unit, should be at the forefront of preventing bullying among students," he said.
