Jakarta Indonesia, 25 September 2022 – On 24 September 2002, there are nine members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) made their promise before Pastor Lino, SDB who represents SDB superiors in Indonesia.
The event took place at the SDB Postnovitiate Community Chapel, Sunter, North Jakarta, with a Eucharistic Celebration led by Pastor Lino Belo, SDB as the Provincial representative of the SDBs in Indonesia. In his sermon he said that we should be happy and grateful for the addition of members of the Salesian family in Indonesia, namely the ADMA group. This is the work and grace of the Holy Spirit for the development of the Salesian mission in Indonesia. The presence of ADMA members gives a new color with its characteristic that is to develop devotion to Our Lady, the Helper of Christians and to the Blessed Sacrament. The ADMA is a monument of Our Lady of the Living Help of Christians, in addition to the FMA Sisters. The ADMA group was originally formed by Saint John Bosco himself, beside the SDB, the FMA and the Salesian Cooperators.
After the Eucharistic Celebration, all ADMA members and the people attended a friendly event in the SDB Postnovitiate community dining room. Everyone present at the event rejoiced at this gracious event.
Hopefully the Salesian mission in Indonesia will be more recognized and developed and truly answer the needs of young people.
