Tan cang, Bien Hoa, Viet Nam, 25 May 2022 -- On May 22, 2022, Don Bosco Tan Cang community held the closing day of the school year 2021-2022 of boarding students. At 8:00 a.m., the parents of 70 boarding students met with the responsible father, Joseph Nguyen Van Toan, to receive their results. On this occasion, the father Joseph and parents also had a meeting to help the children improve their moral and knowlegde this summer and the new school year.
At 09:00, parents meet the Rector Francis Xavier Nguyen Minh Thieu. He conveyed his experience on methods of educating children in the post-covid times. He also gave families the prayer that Don Bosco himself taught his students.
Then, at exactly 10:30, parents and students attended Thanksgiving Mass, celebrated by the Rector, who also preached. In his homily, he emphasized the idea that Don Bosco said to his children: "I want you to be happy in this life and the next", through which he expressed the love Don Bosco had for his students are true love that comes from God. And all of Salesians are continuing to carry out the mission that Don Bosco has handed down.
In particular, the day was also the farewell day for Grade 9. The children have been in Don Bosco's house for 4 years and will be sent to Don Bosco's schools where there is a program for high school students to continue studying.
The school year closing ceremony ended with a family meal full of love and happiness. All parents and teachers were very happy about the progress of the students in both moral and academic life. Everyone left with joy and made an appointment to meet again next year.
