       Da Lat City, Vietnam, 24 February 2022 -- On the occasion of his canonical visit to the Post-Novitiate Community in Da Lat, Father Barnabas Le An Phong, the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Vietnam, had a meeting with the Cooperators of the Mary Help of Christians Center in Da Lat City.

       At 18:00 on February 15, the Provincial presided at the Mass in Savio Chapel and concelebrated with Father Thomas Vu Kim Long – the Rector of the Post-Novitiate Community and Salesian Delegate of the Cooperators of the Mary Help of Christians Center.

       After Mass, the Provincial had a meeting to listen and share.

       Mr. Peter Le Thanh Bao, Coordinator of the Center, presented the personnel and the work that the center has been doing.

       Father Provincial noted that the Association of the Salesian Cooperators is an extension of Don Bosco who must always be restless about young people. He said that apostolate began at home: they had to know how to care for and educate their children and grandchildren first. Now, young people might not be poor in material terms, but they are poor in many things such as morality, affection, energy, knowledge, will, emotions, etc., so there must be initiatives to help young people get out of poverty!

       To do that, the Provincial reminded them to pay attention to four things: 1. Always maintain the identity of a Salesian, always live a spirituality of love and service to young people; 2. Must be trained; 3-. Respect differences to work together; 4. Connect with other groups.
