Tagaytay, The Philippines, 13 January 2020 -- Dear Friends,

As of the moment, Taal Volcano, situated in Taal Lake, in Tagaytay is erupting. Already declared as Level 3 eruption which means it is not just spewing steam but already is in actual explosion.

Many nearby towns have already been evacuated. Many of the famous hotels and restos along the Tagaytay ridge are already closed. Our nearest Salesian setting in that area is the retreat house at Batulao.

The smoke has already reached the adjacent provinces of Batangas and Laguna. Ash fall has already reached Laguna. We do have a number of settings in Laguna.
