ECG (EAO Coordinators Group) meeting,

good model for each EAO province

By Our Own Correspondent

Makati, the Philippines, 25 August 2018 -- Already established annual occasion for the meeting of all EAO sector coordinators (Formation, Youth Ministry, Social communication, Missionary animation, Economy and Salesian family) was held in the morning of August 24 in the Makati-Manila provincial house (FIN). Two coordinators participated online with their reports and recommendations (Salesian Family and Missionary animation) and the ECG encounter was presided by the EAO regional councilor.

Each sector reports about the state of their respective delegates (Province or Delegation level), about the Protocol for annual meetings, good practices and challenges of each sector, inter-commission synergy at province and regional level, method of resolutions (personal, province and regional level).

Fr. Ditto Gueco (EAO Secretary), Fr. Jobeth Vivo (EAO YM coordinator), Fr. Drans Nolasco (EAO SC coordinator), Fr. Adriano Satura (EAO Economer coordinator), Br. Raymond Callo (EAO Formation coordinator) were present , while Fr. Andrew Fung (EAO Missionary animation coordinator) and Fr. John Chong (EAO Salesian Family coordinator) did contribute from the respective provinces online.

Also through the recently concluded EAO Salesian Brother Congress the growing synergy among the main six charismatic Salesian sectors was strongly felt: Formation, YM with the Vocation edge, Social communication at the service of Brother visiblity, missionary drive, economic solidarity and support by the Salesian Family made this event a true EAO Pentecost or Tabor experience.

Necessary growth of planning culture and mentality in our 12 EAO province in each sector is a guarantee of creative and solid quality progress of Salesian charism. With the annual meeting of EAO sector animators are more clear also main conditions for effective animation in our provinces: formation of formators, guarantee the continuity of process with the stability of delegates and back up digital archives, interaction among the 6 sectors in each province (two annual meetings), concrete resolutions and priority of process (no more than 2 or 3) in each sector etc.

Next meeting of ECG is scheduled again for August 23 (one full day) in Manila, prepared also through the participation in the last Pre-GC28 meeting of the EAO provincials in Seoul next March. Another experience of Salesian charismatic growth when we reflect, plan and work togehter!
