Twelve new disciples of Jesus
with the heart of Don Bosco in Indonesia
Tigaraksa, Indonesia, 26 July 2018 -- The newly born Vice-Province INA received the first profession of twelve novices on 24 July 2018 in Tigaraksa Don Bosco, Indonesia.
In the Eucharist concelebrated 16 Salesian wherein the novices make their first profession in front of Fr. Lino Belo (last Delegate for Indonesia) who represented the Rector Major in accepting their vows and Fr. Andre Delimarta SDB and bro Lusianus Kelo SDB as witnesses.
Among the 12 new salesians three are Salesian Brothers (Bruder) and nine are Salesians candidate for the priesthood (Frater). Present in the celebrations also Salesian family members: FMA Sisters and Salesian Coop[erators with the numerous parents and relatives of the new Salesians coming also from Western Timor (Indonesia) and Flores Island.
Fr Lino Belo thanked the newly professed for their availability and the families for their generosity. He also pointed out that even though they professed for one year but the intention is give totally their life forever to God for the salvation of the young people.
Fraternal Banquet and foklore dances followed the celebration as Eastern Indonesia custom suggests.
In the evening following the celebration there were the acceptance of new novices batch 2018-2019 and the renewal of vows of clerics and brothers. This year the vice province of Saint Louis Versiglia (INA) of Indonesia has 7 novices: six are coming from Flores Island and 1 from West Timor. They are now having the retreat of the beginning of novitiate.
The vice province thank the Lord for continually calling young people to answer His call. Indeed God loves the young of Indonesia calling many to their life-long service through the Salesian apostolic consecration.
