"I believe there could not be a better date than this for the election of the Rector Major, who like Mary today receives a new annunciation in his life. God calls him yet again for a particular mission: incarnating Don Bosco" - the homiletic word of the outgoing Rector Major just a short time before the new man was chosen.
We congratulate Fr Angel Fernandez Artime on his appointment as Rector Major and father of the Salesian Family. For him we ask the gift of encouragement ("Do not be afraid"), the gift of vitality and fruitfulness ("You will conceive and give birth to a son"), the gift of faith ("Nothing is impossible to God").
Fr Artime is/was the Provincial of ARS
