Clerics from six provinces in Region take first steps to priesthood

MANILA:  17th September 2009 -- On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, at Seminaryo ng Don Bosco, near Manila, 12 clerics were instituted as acolytes (1 from KOR, 4 from ITM, 1 from FIS, 2 from PNG-SI, 4 from VIE) and 6 as Readers (2 from FIS, 1 from FIN, 2 from PNG-SI, 1 from VIE) . The occasion was graced by the presence of Bishop Patrick Buzon SDB who presided over the Holy Eucharist. Fr. Eli Cruz - FIN Provincial, was the homilist. He reminded the newly instituted ministers of their duties and challenged them to be like Jesus, "Servant" as they move on in their formation and pursue their dream of becoming His priests.  During Communion, the SDBs from ITM rendered a choral piece in Bahasa. Afterwards the 3 Thai confreres currently at the Seminaryo prepared Thai cuisine. These confreres came to study English before proceeding to Australia for theology in January next year.
