Canlubang Seminary launches Blog

CANLUBANG: 27th July 2009 -- Young people are out there in cyberspace and so are our aspirants and prenovices in the Philippine North Province. Yesterday, Filipino-Missions Sunday, Don Bosco Seminary, Canlubang,  launched its blog entitled "plunge into the deep" inspired by the seminary motto duc in altum which was originally from Pope John Paul II's letter Tertio Milenio Adveniente. The ceremonial launching was led by Fr. Rolo Alcasid, Rector. The event was graced by the presence of Fr. Eli Cruz, the Provincial, who happen to be on one of his regular fraternal visits to the communities.
The blog team is currently composed of some Salesians, aspirants and prenovices. It shares news, feature articles, vocation stories, reflections, photo chronicles, videos and more to come from the Salesians and seminarians. It also aims to inspire more young people to consider the Salesian and the missionary vocation. With links and feeds form other SDB sites, it also, in a way, promotes the Salesian apostolate around the world.
We invite you to visit and share some of your insights and comments at our site www.dbseminary.org. For  questions, suggestions and comments, you may email us at web@dbseminary.org .

Congrats to this new addition to the Salesian blogosphere. Don't overlook the fact of the currently quiet existence of the new say.sdb.org/blogs/blog6.  Could other Salesian Family individuals, groups please let me know directly of their blog address, and in case they are not reading these lines and a reader knows of such blogs, could he or she please send me the URLs.  Thanks.  jbf
