'Dream donation' available - could you be seriously interested?

ROME: 14th May 2009 -- It is not often that you will see an offer of the kind that follows.  In fact in the entire 12 year story of austraLasia, I am sure we have never been in a position to offer anybody something like 2 million dollars worth of equipment, so read on!
One of our large Mission and Development Offices has been offered the entire contents of a warehouse that was 'locked down' during an impending major disaster (which happened), but as luck or providence would have it, that warehouse survived intact.  Then Government largesse ensured that all major services in the area were funded - and the medical warehouse was able to buy up new equipment.  The perfectly good equipment that was there before remains there!  Basically that's the story.
Now, it's important to know that offers have already been made to some very significant clinics run by Salesians in one or  two major 'hot spots' in the world, but there are still two possibilities open here - one is that for whatever reasons they may not want or be able to use the equipment; the other is that there is a lot of it!  They may not be able to take it all.  So on that basis, the 'offer' is open - should you be interested because you know of a clinic run by Salesians in the EAO Region to which this Newsletter is largely directed, please contact Fr Klement at vklement@sdb.org immediately.
The equipment available would cover the needs of a large clinic or indeed some needs of a fully-equipped hospital. It includes:
- ambulatory service, Dental, Eye surgery, Radiology, Pathology and Lab, Prosthetic, Cardiac defribulator, Injection pump, Feeding pump intube, Blood pressure monitors, Cardiac monitors, Oximeter, Portable respirators, Gastroscope, Endoscope, Stretchers.
    Over to you!
