A few little extras

MANILA: 16th November 2008 -- Letting readers know that there will be some interruption to service this week (again!) as your coordinator will be on retreat.  If there is something really important we'll find time for it but otherwise.... (but keep the news coming just the same!)
In the meantime here are a few items by way of catch-up from earlier breaks in service :-)
Fr Charles Manlangit (FIN) who until recently has been the local Ecclesiastical Assistant of the Don Bosco Volunteers, has been proposed as Regional Ecclesiastical Assistant of their Asia 1 Region.
Fr Sal Putzu (FIN), Rector of the St. Francis de Sales community in Makati, has been awarded the Catholic Mass Media Awards Foundation's 'Serviam' Award 'for being a selfless and indefatigable Shepherd of God at the service of catechesis and social communication'. He received the citation at the CMMA 2008 Awards Night on 29th October.  Fr Bernard Nolasco of the same province was cited for providing the best entertainment column, the 'Between the Lines' column featured in Word and Life magazine.
Fr Rolo Alcasid, rector of the pre-novitiate community in Canlubang, has been appointed episcopal vicar for religious for the diocese of San Pablo by Bishop Leo Drona sdb.
    Congratulations to all!
