Brothering for life

BENGUET, Phillipines: 6th November 2007 -- From October 26-28 five Salesian Brothers (Bros. Jomar Castillo, Carmelo Martinez, Roberto Navarez, Paul Le Minh and Raymond Callo) attended the gathering of the Luzon Association of Religious Brothers (LARB), of which Bro Callo, commonly known as Bro Mon, is chairman.  At least 45 Brothers from 12 Religious Congregations were in attendance. The meeting was held at Valley Point, Tuba Benguet on Luzon Island. Luzon is the Phillipines' largest and economically most important island group and is located in the north of the archipelago. It holds the capital, Manila.
Bro Raymond Bellezza SJ was workshop and guest speaker for the event. He lectures at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University. Bro Bellezza developed his talks around the theme of 'Brothering for Life' which entailed discussion of the importance of certain aspects of formation in the light of the needs of Brothers in formation.  The three days were divided over several themes: Brotherhood, Getting to know one another, Deepening the understanding of the vocation to lay brotherhood as a relevant and dynamic gift from God in the response to that call each day.
