GC25 FACES EARLY DILEMMA

 

Rome: 2nd March -- An unforeseen complication has arisen for GC25.  Fr. Van Looy, who takes his usual little Saturday afternoon break by going for a bike ride, ended up in hospital this time!  The extent of injury is hopefully not too serious but there may be a broken bone or two.

This, of course, leaves the Assembled brethren without the Vicar and, as we all know, without the Rector Major - hence no president for next Monday morning's assembly.  No doubt somewhere in the Chapter's 100 plus years of experience there will be a precedent....we hope so.  If not, then one will be undoubtedly created.

'austraLasia' will be in touch with an update on Fr. Van Looy's condition and recovery, which is really the main point at issue.  We wish you a speedy recovery, Luc.
