ANS UPDATE ON TIMOR, TAIWAN

(I realise many already get ANS, but my lists have grown exponentially since

the Timor crisis came to ahead, and many on that list do not access ANS.

Furthermore it is in Italian and many others cannot read it even if they get

it! For the rest, just use your delete key).

TIMOR

To this point messages are still indirect, but we can establish that

confreres have returned to Bacau, Fatumaca and Venilale. At present it

seems that there are no SDB confreres in the Houses at Dili or Fuiloro. At

Los Palos by now we expect that two confreres (Manuel Fraile and Jose

Ribeiro) have returned. Tow confreres from Jakarta are intending to go to

Dili as soon as possible, either via Darwin or Kupang, whichever route opens

first.

TAIWAN

Just repeating the confirmation from Fr. Michele Ferrero and Fr. Carlo

Socol, that the Salesians and Salesians Houses in Taipei and elsewhere in

Taiwan have not been directly touched by the earthquake.
