SALESIAN BULLETIN-BOSCONET TAKES OUT AWARDS

MELBOURNE: 22 May -- Once again the Australasian Catholic Press

Association has recognised the Australian Salesian Bulletin in its

awards. The awards for the 1997 year were presented at the

Association's annual conference held in Melbourne in May.

The Salesian Bulletin-BOSCONET shared first prize for Best Web Site with

the Catholic Voice, the monthly newspaper of the Archdiocese of

Canberra-Goulburn. In the award for Best Piece of Educational Coverage,

'Theology in a New Key' by Fr. Julian Fox SDB (June 1997) was highly

commended. Also highly commended was the 1997 Salesian Bulletin

Vocations supplement which featured nine Salesian vocations - religious

and lay.

Salesian Bulletin editor Fr. Frank Freeman, accepted the awards.
