(Kathmandu, Nepal): There was a strong earthquake at around 11.45 am. Kathmandu is worst hit. In Biratnagar and Sirsiya though it was quite strong, so far no damage or death is noticed. But in Kathmandu nearly 850 people have already lost their lives and more numbers are yet to come.

We are not able to get news due to net work problems, lack of power supply (even though we have solar system to day the weather is very poor and no sunshine) and lack of transport. As per the radio report there are over 100 houses collapsed or affected in kathmandu. There are also problems in near by towns like Pokhra, Tippling etc.

Our institutions both in Thecho and Lubu have cracks on the walls. The compound walls of both the houses are collapsed in some parts. (we will attach the photos of it)
