St Francis de Sales Chapel of the Sacred Heart Novitiate

Talisay, the Philippines, 15 August -- The community of the Don Bosco Formation Center gathered together at the site of the soon-to-rise St Francis de Sales Chapel of the Sacred Heart Novitiate for the blessing of the eight (8) symbolic pillars and the laying of the cornerstone to signal the next phase of the construction. All felt elated as the incumbent Director of Novices, Fr. Philip Lazatin SDB presided the occasion, meaningfully time on the Solemnity of our Lady’s Assumption. He explained how this new chapel is a fruit of Providence, Mary’s intercession, the generosity of benefactors and hard work.

Also present were DB Liloan Rector and former Novice Director, Fr Roneldo Vilbar, Fr Amelito Racelis and the DBFC community members, the aspirants, prenovices and novices. Religious articles from patron saints and medals of Mary were sown like seeds on the foundation of the pillars ― seeds of hope as Don Bosco would have done it. The working crew also received a blessing prayer A piece of heaven will soon to rise.
