Mongolia Delegation - Malang diocese
Yogyakarta, Indonesia, 3 August 2017 -- One full week of Seventh Asia Youth Day is now at the climax, when all 2000+ participants - Catholics and other Christians together with their Muslim brothers and sisters reached the main venue in Yogyakarta.
Catholic Youth delegation of Mongolia includes also one SDB and Salesian Youth. Fr. Mario Gaspar (Timorese missionary in Mongolia) shares their experience of first 3 days in Indonesia:
"Our Mongolian youth delegation composed of 21 young people and their leaders. We arrived in the diocese of Malang on 31st July. Then we were staying there for 2 full days. In Malang we had various activities, such as visiting one of the main museum in Malang, we were welcome officially by Major of Batu and ended with the visiting the Selamat Pagi Indonesia School. Second day, there was a presentation from Muslim group, closing mass and cultural presentation by Malang diocese joint by their guests from Kupang and Atambua dioceses (Indonesia), from Singapore, Vietnam and Mongolia. This presentation indeed showed the great richness of multi cultural countries and various religions of Asia.
Only today, on August 3rd we reached the main venue of the 7th Asian Youth Day in Yogyakarta with other 2000+ participants from 25 Asian countries."
