Tokyo, Japan, 30 October 2016 -- This festa 2016 started at 11:00 and finished at 16:00. We held a lot of programs such as playing guitar, violine and sax. These attractive music sounds made the people around stop and watch our programs for a long time. These kinds of work is very similar to the way Don Bosco used in Italy for children. Also we did a play about Mamma Margerita. We showed the kind and educational character of her by drama play. We could have a good chance to tell about the spirit of Don Bosco to our fellow citizens who never met Jesus or Don Bosco.
In addition, at the lunch time, we made some presentation about our work in Cambodia. We could tell about what VIDES are doing now in our world.
At the end of the Festival, we have a costume contest about Halloween. Our VIDES group made a VIDES Prize for the winner and gave the one handmade goods in VIDES youth groups.
Although it was very difficult to work outside of the church and do some evangelical events and make balance between our needs and the commercial institutions' needs, this 'Festa' is very important and indispensable event for us to do our work and dedicate for the true development in the spirit of VIDES one of the Salesian spirit expressions, which have its fountain in the heart and act of the person of Jesus.
