Don Bosco 200 Trilogy authored by our former Rector Major

By Fr Lanfranco M. Fedrigotti, SDB

Hong Kong, 15 May 2016 -- Don Bosco Publishing Services in Hong Kong is now presenting the ‘Getting to Know Don Bosco Series’. It is our hope that after reading the series, readers will be inspired to try to live out Don Bosco's spiritual experience. Animated by this experience, readers will also be willing to continue his work of serving the underprivileged youth in this ever-changing world.

This book series brought together the monthly articles written for the Salesian Family on the Italian edition of the Salesian Bulletin by Fr Pascual Chávez, then Rector Major (now Rector Major Emeritus) of the Salesians of Don Bosco in the preparation of the Don Bosco 200th birth celebration.

Getting to Know Don Bosco Series - His History

Guided by the theme in his Strenna 2012, in this book Fr Pascual will accompany you through the journey of exploring the history of the time of Don Bosco; how he coped with different circumstances; what was behind his determination to cultivate his lifelong mission for the young; and how he accomplished this remarkable mission by trust in our Lord.

Getting to Know Don Bosco Series: His Pedagogy

Guided by the theme in his Strenna 2013, these enlightening articles by Fr Pascual explore the secrets of the educational method of Don Bosco; how he coped with challenges; what was behind the success of his lifelong dedication to the mission of educating the young; and how he accomplished this meaningful mission entrusted to him by God.

Getting to Know Don Bosco Series: His Spirituality

Guided by the theme in his Strenna 2014, here Fr Pascual will lead you into the heart of Don Bosco to explore his spirituality; how he, very early in his life, lived in constant union with God his loving Father; how God chose to make Don Bosco experience His loving care through the maternal intervention of Jesus' own Mother, Mary; how Don Bosco, throughout his life, single-mindedly strove, in small things as in great things, to conform his will to God's will.

Anybody interested in ordering this series can use the email address or the fax given here: Email enquiry@vap.org.hk Fax (852) 2568 4161 The price of the whole series is 15 USD, excluding delivery and wire transfer fees (to be quoted upon receiving the order).
