Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar, 5 June 2024 -- The 2024-2025 Academic year of Don Bosco Philosophate opened on 3 June with the Holy Mass presided by Fr. Leo Mang, SDB, at 6:30 a.m. After the Holy Mass and breakfast, the rector, Fr. Bosco Aung Zaw Win, welcomed the students and encouraged them to strive for the best in their philosophical studies. There are 44 students from different religious congregations in this academic year. Fr. Bosco also thanked their superiors for their sincere trust in our Salesian philosophical formation, as the students increased in number year after year.
After that, individual professors introduced themselves and their assigned subjects to students, followed by class sessions throughout the day. The students are as follows: 9 from Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM), 4 from the Order of Friars Minor (OFM), 17 from Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), 9 from Order of the Servants of Mary (OSM), and 5 from Missionaries of St. Paul (MSP).
