Dalat Vietnam, 3 September 2023 -- At 09:00, September 1, 2023, Don Bosco Dalat Academy held the opening ceremony of the new school year. Present at the opening ceremony were Father Provincial, Barnaba Le An Phong, Father Joseph Do Duc Dung - Councilor for Formation, Father Peter Nguyen Viet Quang Minh, Councilor for Youth Ministry, Father Thomas Vu Kim Long - Rector of Don Bosco Dalat community, with the superiors of the community, the superiors of other Orders, professors and students.

At the beginning of the opening program, Father Joseph Pham Dai Quang, Rector of the Academy, made a few remarks and oriented a new school year for students of all three classes. Next, Father Joseph Do Duc Dung had a few words of advice for the students. And Father Thomas Vu Kim Long announced the opening of the new school year and beat the opening drum.

The opening ceremony continued with the New Year's Opening Mass at 10:00 on the same day. Father of Barnaba Le An Phong presided over the mass. The Mass was added with fervor and solemnity when concelebrated by the Rector and the superiors of the Academy along with the superiors of the three religious orders. During the homily, the celebrant also especially encouraged the students in studying and serving so that they realized that education is not about pouring a bunch of boring knowledge into the students' heads but transforming every day with the influence of the Holy Spirit. Next, the professors solemnly stood in front of the altar to conduct the rite of confession of faith and lay their hands on the Bible to show their confidence before God, for the transmission of knowledge to the students in a holy and well-intentioned way.

The opening ceremony ended with a meal full of joy and brotherhood. May God, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians, Father John Bosco, bless the students with a new school year that will reap many good fruits as God desires.
