Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar, 30 May 2023 -- On 30 May 2023, Fr Aung Zaw Win Bosco, SDB was installed by Fr Bosco Nyi Nyi, SDB (the superior) as the new rector of the Don Bosco Philosophate, for a three-year term of office. A simple and profound ceremony of installation, integrated with the Holy Eucharistic celebration, took place in the chapel of Don Bosco Philosophate at 6:30 a.m.. The event was solemnized by the presence of some SDB priests and brothers, FMA sisters, and Missionaries of St Paul sisters and brothers (MSP). After the Holy Mass, there was a short program of welcome for Fr Bosco and a farewell to Fr Mariano Soe Naing, SDB, the out-going rector.
Let us continue to pray for Fr Bosco, so that he may totally be able to offer himself for the service of authority in the local community, serving the confreres and the young people with the heart of the Good Shepherd and the spirit of our Founder, Don Bosco.
