Samoa, 27 May 2023 -- I am Salesian brother Joseph Le Ngoc Truong. I come from Vietnam and have been sent by the Rector Major as missionary to the Pacific Delegation, particularly to Samoa. Our Pacific Delegation is made up of Fiji, New Zealand and Samoa.
At the moment I am staying in our formation community in Fiji while learning English in Fiji. I also take some subjects in the Pacific Religion Seminary. I also work with the youth in our oratory and give Catechism classes.
Although I am looking forward to being able to reach Samoa soon, I am happy to work for the youth here in Fiji. If there is anything I can wish for, I really hope that one day we may have a Salesian technical school here in Fiji so that we can really help the youth prepare themselves to have gainful employment.
