With Prov. Council

Cebu, Philippines, September 28, 2015 - The Regional Councilor for East Asia Ocenia, Fr. Vaclav Klement, of whom today is the feastday, St. Wenceslaus, is currently visiting the Province of Mary Help of Christians – South Province for his animation visit from September 25-28, 2015. This is part of his brotherly concern to promote a direct link between the FIS Province and the Rector Major. He will meet the different salesian communities in Cebu and Bacolod for this short visit.
He began with a meeting with the Provincial and his Council to communicate the Rector Major’s Road Map for the province for the coming years. He has already been in the FIS for several times in the past and his keen knowledge of the local situation has enabled him to suggest directions to take for the good of the Province. He also took time to view the on-going #DB200 Exhibit entitled “St. John Bosco: God’s Gift to the Young” at the Ayala Mall – Cebu which aims of spreading knowledge and devotion to St. John Bosco as part of the year-long celebration of his 200th birth.
His itinerary took him to Negros Island to meet with the Board of Trustees of St. John Institute popularly known as Hua Ming. This year, SJI , a Filipino-Chinese Catholic Education Center partnered with the Salesians of Don Bosco to render its pastoral needs for the school community. He meet the communities of DB Mambucal, DB Granada and Don Bosco Technical Institute. May this visit lead to more collaboration and greater zeal for the salesian mission for the young in this part of the world.
