       Vietnam North Delegation, 21 April 2021 -- In the morning of 21 April 2021, on the occasion of Hung Kings’ Commemoration (10 March - lunar year), the Oratory Committee of the North Delegation organised a gathering with a sport fest for young people who are joining activities at oratories in the North at the Divine Mercy Pastoral Center of Thai Binh diocese.

       After a warm welcome and the dance with the theme song “We are family”, there was a talk about Don Bosco and an invitation for the young people to follow him more closely in Salesian consecrated life. At 8 o’clock, Fr. John the Baptist Tran Van Hao, delegate for the Salesian Family in the north, celebrated the mass in honor of Don Bosco and to pray for the oratorians with the concelebration of the director of the Divine Mercy Pastoral Center and Salesian priests in charge of the oratories of the North.

       After the mass, Fr. Joseph Tran Duc Ai, SDB, the head of the Oratory Committee, declared the sport fest open and introduced the referee team who would conduct different sports: football, volley ball, badminton, table soccer with real man players. The sport fest ended at 4 P.M and this was followed by the prize-giving. A representative of the participants expressed their gratitude to the Divine Mercy Pastoral Center, the priests, religious and Salesian Cooperators who had accompanied all the groups from different oratories. Before going home, they received a blessing from a priest and a take-away dinner for oratorians from afar.
