Novena to Saint John Bosco (January 22-30)
EAO, 22 January 2018 -- For the whole Salesian Family the month of January is a special time of celebrating many Saints: January 8 - Blessed Titus Zeman, January 15 - Blessed Luis Variara, January 22 - Blessed Laura Vicuna, January 24 - Saint Francis de Sales, January 30 - Blessed Bronislaw Markiewicz and January 31 the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
In most of our Communities, Schools, Parishes, Social works, Oratories or Youth Centers, Salesian Cooperator or Don Bosco Past Pupils Centers it's also a time of the Novena to Don Bosco. It's a precious time to make also Don Bosco known and share our Charism in the Church or in our Educative and Pastoral Communities.
The SDB General Chapter 26 (2008) shares a simple wisdom how to 'Return to Don Bosco' (GC 26,8) 'Be committed to love, study, imitate, pray to Don Bosco and make him known'!
Indeed we have in our hands one of the most powerful means, the wonderful movies that show in attractive way Don Bosco's life and mission. Most of them are already available on the internet, also in most of the EAO languages: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai...
