Do you want to proclaim your faith, albeit in Facebook?
A group of young Salesians in the Philippines—North Province has made it possible through the FB cover photos which they design following the Sunday liturgical theme. Usually, this is anchored particularly on the Gospel message.
They also embed Biblical citations in the graphics for reference. The design of the graphics is really an eye candy which catch the fancy of the young people.
The group sees this effort as their contribution to the on-going saga of bringing new evangelization in the Internet, particularly in social media, which the recent General Chapter calls ‘the new playground.’
Soft launch
The present batch of designs this month of April are from the genius of Br. Paul Dungca, SDB of the Postnovitiate Community in Canlubang using Br. Jerome Quinto’s photo and Br. Luke Adrian Maloloy-on’s cartoons.
The group started to design and upload FB header photos late last year. They changed their headers photos Sunday after Sunday, to reflect the theme and celebration of the upcoming Sunday liturgy. They ‘wear’ this in their respective FB profiles for the entire week, until the next Sunday comes when a brand new cover photo is up for use.
Their respective friends do not just ‘like’ or ‘share’ the graphics, but also ‘wear’ them as well.
