Ulanbaatar, Mongolia, 19 December 2015 - The Youth Commission of the Mongolia Prefecture headed by Bro. Andrew organized Youth Christmas Celebration in the Gym of Don Bosco Ulaanbaatar. Participated around 140 youth from all seven parishes of the Apostolic Prefecture of Mongolia. This is the first time that 8 young people from Arvaheer, North-East of Mongolia traveled for 600 km to participate this event. Of course there was group of youth from our Don Bosco Center and Mary Help of Christian Parish Darkhan too.

The program began with the Holy Eucharist in the nearby Cathedral. During the Eucharist there was offered ongoing confession opportunity for the youth to prepare for the Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Each of the youth came with a small gift such as: flour, cooking oil, or some little things that can be offer to the poor during the Christmas. In the afternoon, all youth were divided into 6 groups and given a passage of Bible with the Christmas theme then they have to make a drama on that theme. It was very nice and the youth were so creative. During the day, there were also some in-door games.

The objective of the Youth Commission is leading the youth in the atmosphere of welcoming Child Jesus and concern for the poor through this event. They should be different from what they see on the street decorations.

The day ended with so much happiness visible on the faces of the youth. Merry Christmas to all!
