CYBERCENTRE FOR RELIGIOUS LIFE

by C. Garulo

ROME:18th December -- The World Union of Superiors General has approved the

setting up of a website for all members of institutes of consecrated life

throughout the world. The centre, which is already in its beginning stages,

and which has been set up by the congress for young religious, can be found

at http://www.vidimusdomini.org and can be accessed in English, Italian,

French and Spanish. The website, called Vidimus Domini (We have seen the

Lord)is easily navigable, and offers varying degrees of interactivity, along

with information about developments in Religious Life. Under the heading of

'Newspaper', for example, there is an entry by Fr. Juan Vecchi. Judging by

this entry, however, the English translations from (in this case) Italian

are poor. Communities and individuals are encouraged to take a look at this

site and perhaps keep it as a regular visiting point. More constant use by

more people will undoubtedly improve the quality of the site.
