Delegate for the Pacific (Samoa - Fiji - New Zealand)

Alafau, Samoa, 7 June 2017 -- The young Pacific Delegation is growing according the animation of its Delegation Council: Fr. Mathew (New Zealand), Fr. Taisali (Economer), Fr. Jim (Fiji) and Fr. Petelo (Delegate-Superior). Last week we came again together in Alafau Don Bosco, Samoa on Juny 7, 2017.

Before the Delegation council meeting was held also the Pacific Formation Commission on Sunday. Thanks for the wisdom - fruits of the Pacific Consultation sessions shared with our Regional Councilor we took it as a very good summary of all that we had been sharing amongst us in the three countries of the Delegation.

Our Pacific Delegation Meeting went very well. The most important issues we discussed were mostly along the four emerging needs already highlighted during our Consultation encounters:

1. Pacific Delegation Newsletter: We will be able hopefully to issue our first Newsletter next month of July.
2. Salesian Cooperators: We foster their regular formation gatherings and our involvement with the Salesian Cooperators.
3. Conditions for the Pacific Delegation temporary missionaries: We are working on the
4. Quality formation for Salesians both during initial and ongoing formation.
