SAN SALVADOR: 19th April 2005 --  Given that some 40 austraLasia's ago $1061 to be precise - we announced that the Salesian Bulletin director from Central America, Fr Heriberto Herrera was aiming at a prize in the BBC World international photo competition, it is with joy that we announce his success!

    Heriberto entered a competition entitled 'joy or sadness'.  His photo was of a small girl with a toffee apple.  In the final runoff against other competitors, after being selected amongst the best ten to begin with, Heriberto has gained 2nd prize. 

    Since many austraLasia readers had voted for him, they can take some share of the winnings - probably a toffee apple each if you care to write to herrerah@gmail.com
