FR. JOSE VP HAS BEEN IN TOUCH!

Just to complete the picture, since we had not been able to get any precise

information about Fr. Jose Vattaparampil until now. He managed to use a UN

telephone from his present location yesterday, and rang a member of the

family who has since been in contact with myself. Jose is somewhat shaken by

the atrocities he has had to witness. The Gurkhas finally came to their

rescue in the East. There are no normal lines of communication as yet in

place.
