One more!  FIS: Fr Abundo Bacatan

CEBU: 8th December 2005 -- No matter how hard one tries, there's always the possibility of missing someone, especially when with all the best intentions, email breaks down or other communication resources 'gang aft agly' as a famous Scotsman once said!  This morning (8 December 2005, at 9:00am) FIS also had an ordination, in the person of Fr Abundio Bacatan, SDB. The Archbishop of Cebu, His Eminence Ricardo Cardinal Vidal was the ordaining prelate. Fr Abundio, finished his theological studies in Cremisan.  He's been a while 'on the road', so to speak, so this ordination brings special joy to the many who have been part of Abundio's journey over these years. The ordination was held in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish which will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2007. The church was jam-packed, according to our correspondent. The ordination was attended mostly by young people coming from the houses where Fr Abundio has been previously assigned. The cardinal stayed long even after the ordination. He apparently enjoyed the festive Salesian celebration of a brand new gift - a priest! Fr Abundio's family and relatives were equally filled with joy of having one of their own consecrated to God.
VOCABULARY
